The hotel consists of three blocks that have been completely refurbished in 2000. The facade of windows and a roof top made of curved roofs make up the distinctive Tower Wing. The Garden and Valley Wing are mostly obscured by the lush trees and vegetation that are the hallmarks of the Shangri La Singapore.

The lobby is huge with large Doric columns that line the perimeter. Large chandeliers supplement the already sufficient sunlight. The floor is in beige marble with seating areas for coffee and stairs leading upstairs for more lounging areas for afternoon tea.
Valley Deluxe rooms are 57 sqm have a European look with Oriental touches in creams and pastels and dark wood furniture. The dressing area is separated by a Chinese style swing door, which leads to the large bathroom with separate shower area. Electric curtains, chocolates in the room, porcelain teacups, a wide selection of complimentary tea leaves and coffee, fax/printer/copier machine, personalised stationery, chandeliers that dim and a TV above the bathtub adds to the luxurious feel. Rooms overlook the putting green and landscaped gardens of Shangri-La.
