The King's hotel is located along the scenic historic Singapore River and in the River Valley area. It is walking distance to the heart of the Singapore pub scene in Mohd Sultan Road, minutes away from the central business area, Orchard Road and Chinatown. Taking a stroll along the river will bring you in 10 minutes to Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay for al fresco dining and pubs.
One of the few hotels located in the River Valley area, it offers good access to the Singapore River; it is a 5 minute ride by car to the Orchard shopping belt and yet still boasts that tropical resort feel. Princess Terrace Cafe where buffet breakfast is served also serves Penne buffet for lunch and dinner, and an a la carte menu is also available. Gourmet sandwiches, pasta, and popular Western favorites can be enjoyed from the Stars cafe. Tien Court Restaurant serves authentic Cantonese delicacies as well as Yangzhou Dim Sum.
The fully refurbished rooms are modern and have Zen decor, in warm colours, ensuring a relaxed and welcome feel. Rooms are equipped with coffee/tea making facilities, bathrobes, and bedroom slippers. High-speed broadband internet access are available at a charge. The bathroom is small and it is similarly done in the modern style; and yet, everything portrays a very homely feel. It comes with a half size bathtub.
The lobby is medium in size and has sophisticated modern look. However it does not have much of a seating area. Star cafe stands next to the main entrance, and it provides indoor and outdoor seating areas.
