Clarion Collection Bastion

The Bastion is located centrally, with Oslo's main shopping area a mere ten minutes walk away. Its proximity to the main station does mean, however, that at night there are sometimes some rather seedy characters on the streets round the hotel.
This hotel comes highly recommended for its really charming style and comfortable, homely atmosphere. Though its location is practical, it is a pity it is not slightly more salubrious, especially late at night. This hotel is totally non-smoking in all rooms.
This is an old building, with a dark grey facade like those of its neighbours.
The lobby is very attractive, with its polished wood floor, comfortable leather seating and crackling log fire in cold weather. It is small, but there is plenty of room for guests to sit down in the adjacent breakfast area.
The restaurant is also traditional and homely in style.
The rooms are particularly charming. They are decorated in English country-house style, with some floral soft furnishings and attractive prints on the walls. The size of the rooms does vary, but on average they are medium-sized.
