Outside of the hotel fantastic, beautiful building, staff very pleasent and the bathrooms were excellent, unfortunatly after our first nights stay the bathroom was out of order and it was like staying in party central as a group of foreign students were staying but were running up and down the corridors shouting all night, rooms are clean but very basic, to be honest very glad to get home and won't be recommending it to anyone. |

The hotel was a lot better than i expected for a £60 hotel in London. The shared bathrooms were very clean and quite modern, the only problem being that they were few and far between so if your room was at one end of the corridor you hada bit of a walk to get there. The room was nice, basic but clean. My only complaint would be the strict checking out rules. Your room states that if you stay up to an hour extra after 11am you are charged £10, £20 for two hours and any longer than that and they charge you the full rate for the room for an extra night. At literallu 11:01 am we received a phone call from reception reminding us we had to leave! Other than that, our stay was nice enough. Good location, good value for money. I would stay here again. |

We knew London was expensive and that we'd be sacrificing a bit to stay anywhere for less than 80GBP or so but I thought this was a little to much of a sacrifice. The room was spartan but fine. Everything was as advertised and they let us borrow a hair dryer for free. My problem was with the bathrooms . It looked like the shower/toilet stalls were built with spare parts from someone's garage and the wall pieces weren't meant for wet applications. Parts of the walls were rotted out and were loosely attached. The restrooms frequently ran out of toilet paper and there was seldom soap. My biggest concern was that you have to turn your key back in every time you leave and then just ask for it back when you return, no checking ID... But, given the price I don't know if I'd make a different decision. |

This is not a hotel, more like a hostel. It appears to be a former dorm for Kings College. Our room had 2 twin beds, a desk, a wardrobe, a TV, and a sink. The toilets and showers were on the other side of the building. It was a long and spooky walk in the middle of the night... The showers were disgusting and the "continental breakfast" was appalling. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator to get our luggage up. The staff was not too friendly or helpful. They make you leave the key when you go out, but they then freely dispense the keys without asking the requestor for identification or anything. Definitely not a good value for your money, but then again this is expensive London... so you get what you pay for?? However, they should not claim to be a hotel!!! |
