Ideally situated, 200 metres from the beach, the 3 star Lielupe hotel is a very nice and comfortable place to stay in Jurmala, whatever the season. Jurmala as the Baltic Resort was founded in 1838, it covers a narrow peninsula of 40 km and is a very popular destination, well known for its golden sandy 30 km long beach. The city offers fabulous walks through the vast pine forest whilst enjoying the sea breeze and the very interesting Latvian architecture. For those travelling from Riga, Jurmala is only 20km away and can be easily reached by train, the journey will take 25 minutes to Bulduri, the nearest station from the hotel.
