The main entrance is on 108 East Superior Street with the west side of the hotel facing North Michigan Avenue. A brand new hotel built and opened in June 2001.
Four wonderful restaurants and a bar are 5 diamond awarded. Seafood fine dining, Shanghai Terrace offers contemporary Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine including Dim Sum for lunch. The Lobby is an all day dining restaurant including the signature Peninsula Afternoon Tea plus Friday and Saturday nights, the tempting Chocolate Bar Buffet and Pierrot Gourmet which is located on the street level.
The Junior Suite is 840 square feet and has a separate bedroom from its living space. These suites overlook the beautiful Magnificent Mile - Michigan Avenue. The sitting area is separated from the sleeping area with double french doors for added privacy. There is a sofa sleeper in the living room. All suites are equipped with a bedside touch panel allowing control of room temperature, lighting, TV, radio alarm clock and privacy sign. All bathrooms come with separate shower stall and a deep soaking tub with a TV on the marble wall. All rooms have high speed internet accessibility and is complimentary.
There is a motor lobby on the ground floor inside the main entrance, where the guest services staff will assist guests with their luggage. After taking the elevator from the motor lobby, guests will arrive on the 5th floor where the check in lobby is located.
