Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest

The Bucharest hilton athenee palace is situated in the very centre of Bucharest close to university square and the former royal palace. Trolleybus and municipal bus/tram links are excellent. The airport is 20 mins drive.
The hilton is well known in Bucharest as having been the finest hotel for many years. The high standards have been maintained into the millenium. WS 04. 09.
The shell of the 1918 building in its neo classical style has been kept along with the 1964 addition. The bulding is pale in colour and has a very attractive luxurious appearance. The athenee palace was the first building of it's type to be built in Bucharest.
The medium sized lobby has marble floors, pale walls and is fitted out with decorative columns. The reception area is dark wood and to the left of the entrance. To the immediate left of the entrance there is a patisserie and brasserie. The beautiful ballroom is situated to the rear.
The restaurant is situated on the ground floor behind the central ballroom area. It has direct access from the street. It is light and airy.
The rooms are Brand new and very attractive indeed. They are modern in design with calming colour schemes. All are medium to large in size and all bathrooms offer bathtub. Rooms are airconditioned.
10 minute walk to the nearest metro station (piata romana), 2 km to the nearest station (gara de nord), 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 20 kms to the nearest airport (bucharest), 4 km to the nearest fair site (romexpo).
