Swissotel Berlin

The Swissotel Berlin boasts a fantastic location, on the corner of the famous Kurfürstendamm, near the Gedächtniskirche and opposite the legendary Café Kranzler. The hotel entrance is on Augsburgerstrasse, from where you take a glass elevator up to the reception area. The designers at the Swissotel really know how to maximise space and light, drawing your eye up to the glass ceilinged atrium, and using simple elegant furniture to great effect. The building has an unusual quarter circle shape, and rooms either face the quiet internal atrium or the bold lights and action of the Ku'Damm.

Bedrooms are stylish and sumptuous, decorated in warm colours, featuring elegant throws and cushions, extremely comfortable suede armchairs and other handy facilities such as a Lavazza coffee machine, iron and ironing board, minibar, optional wireless internet access, satellite tv, safe and all the usual things you'd expect in a five star hotel like two telephones in the room and one in the bathroom. Bathrooms are packed with features like the fully glass shower cubicle, in addition to the full size bathtub in every one. Marble floors and sinks and gleaming white tiles and glass add to the fresh effect in here. Naturally a hairdryer, make up mirror and luxury bathroom products are in every bathroom too.

The hotel offers a fantastic array of delicacies in its huge breakfast buffet, offered in the main restaurant each morning. Choose from a range of cold cuts and cheeses, cereals, breads, yoghurts, juices, cakes and pastries, tea and coffee, eggs to order - you will be spoilt for choice.

The restaurant has a popular rooftop terrace open in the summer.
