The building itself is very old, but has been restored to its former glory. Its typical Dutch style exterior blends in well with the neighboring buildings.
The bedrooms vary a lot in size, but are on average small to medium. They are all decorated in the same pleasant modern style with shades of blue and light wooden furniture. The white tiled bathrooms are also small to average in size and in good condition.
The hotel has a cafe/bar overlooking the flower market offering a modest a la carte menu. There is also an excellent Italian restaurant on the first floor which is rather grand but authentically decorated.
The lobby and public areas are attractively decorated in Italian style using lots of marble and with minimal seating.
