Very good, inexpensive but basic hotel - recommeneded for anyone needing a bed for the night close to the station with no frills.

Would highly recommend if you want a hostel type private room experience, excellent value, a clean room, and great location. Close to the train station and a great jumping off point, either by walking or tram, to everything happening in Amsterdam. Very nice hotel personnel who all speak English are helpful, clean room, nice window view, and good ventilation.

This is a catch-22. On one hand, I got an AWESOME location and the lowest rate in all of Amsterdam. On the other hand, this hotel was a little sketchy. I have always been one to say that i don't care what the room is like, as long as I have my own bathroom (and my husband usually agrees). This place really pushed that theory. We got there a little earlier than normal check in and the room hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. My first reaction was to leave, but we toughted it out. Once the room had been cleaned it wasn't bad at all. However, a word to the wise, PACK LIGHLY! The room was so small that my husband could touch 2 walls at nce, and it was a 3 or 4 story walk up ont he smallest staircase I've ever seen. All-in-all not too bad!o
